ROBERT LYLE HOLIDAY was born February 7, 1974, in Blair, Nebraska, to Frank and Linda (Hopkins) Holiday. He passed away Friday, June 4, 2010, following a farm accident on a hog facility near West Point, Nebraska. Robert was 36 years of age.
Robert graduated from Lyons-Decatur Northeast High School in 1993.
On June 27, 1998, he married Tracie Zimmerman at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah, Nebraska. They have two children, Wyatt Lee in 2001 and Bailey Elizabeth in 2004.
Robert enjoyed camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting with family and friends. He also enjoyed sitting around the fire pit on the deck that he built enjoying time with those close to him. Some of his passions included grilling and cooking for his family. He loved working on home improvement projects and landscaping, especially his ponds. He was a dedicated husband, father, son and brother.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Alice Hopkins, Forest and Ruth Holiday.
He is survived by his wife, Tracie and two children, Wyatt and Bailey of Tekamah; his parents, Frank and Linda Holiday of Decatur; brother and sister-in-law, F. Lee and Cheryl Holiday of Decatur; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Dan Copeland of Martinez, California; father- and mother-in-law, Harry and Diane Zimmerman of Tekamah; brother- and sister-in-law, Greg and Michele Zimmerman of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; niece, Amanda Zimmerman, of Shreveport, Louisiana; many uncles, aunts and cousins.
