He married Leroy Twp, Ingham, Michigan USA 1906 30 Jun Age: 18 Marriage to Clara J. Brickner Wheatfield Twp, Ingham, Michigan USA By R. R. Etchinson, Pastor with witnesses Mary Swan and Forester Swan
Per 1910 census he was living in Lansing Ward 1, Ingham, Michigan with wife and son named John H Swan b 1907.
Per 1920 census his widow was in Michigan - mother Clara J remarried - to Elza D Milner White Oak, Ingham, Michigan; Roll T625_771; Page: 4B; Enumeration District: 133; Image: 483.
Elza D Milner was previously married to Millie Swan who died 1917 and left a female child. Millie Swan was sister to Charles H Swan so this marriage seemed to be at everyone's best interest, however by 1930 she divorced Milner and maintained the name Swan.
Researcher, Randy Gladstone posted obituary and brought this to my attention in Oct 2009. Overwhelmed when I read the details and solves the mystery as to why this photo was on first page of old WWI album in hand... almost 92 years later. This memorial will therefore sponsored on his behalf.
A flying record and some papers belonging to Charles H Swan also in album have been turned over to Air Force Museam 2004 with album.
