Mrs. Frankie Faye Phillips, 66, died Thursday morning (June 10, 2010) at her residence following a short illness.
She was a native of Brantley County, but had lived most of her life in Waycross. She was the daughter of the late Frank Allen Carter and Ruby Inez Wildes Carter. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Jettie Corley (husband Jimmy) and Lisa King (husband Mark) both of Waycross; two sons, Marvin D. Sweat (wife Amanda) and Shad Joyner both of Waycross; four sisters, Inez Myers of Verden, OK, Rhonda Leverette of Manor, Vickie Copeland and Ruby Jean Lee both of Waycross; three brothers, Wiley Carter of Waycross, Allen Carter of Hawthorne, FL , and Dennis Carter of Jacksonville, FL; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her former husband, Brian Phillips of Blackshear, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 Saturday (June 12, 2010) at Swamp Road Baptist Church.
