Barbara was born in Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., PA, the daughter of George Michael Leiby and his wife Barbara. She was baptized 7 May 1752 at Dunkel's Church, Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., PA.

Barbara married Jacob Yerian about 1770. They had a family of at least two sons & six daughters. The two sons did not survive. The names of their children are: John George; John Jacob; Susannah Barbara (Mowrey); Elizabeth (Mertz); Polly (Repass); Mary Magdalene (Roush); Sarah (Wittenmyer) & Margaret (Thomas).

After Jacob's death, Barbara followed daughters Susannah Barbara, Sarah & Margaret to Adams Co., OH, where an estate inventory indicates she died in 1828.

Her location of burial is not known. Most likely she is buried at Jacksonville (Jacktown) Cemetery or Steam Furnace Cemetery.
