Charles S. Coffman, of Saxton died December 12, 1974 at the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Born May 24, 1897 in Saxton, he was a son of William and Cala (Estright) Coffman. On January 1, 1920. he married the former Edna E. Bair in Saxton. Surviving are his widow and the following children: Paul and James, both of Saxton; Lloyd, Hyde Park. Mass; Mrs. Thomas (Belly) Wilson, Three Springs, RD; and Robert, Saxton. Mr. Coffmon left a brother and three sisters, Carl. Canoe Creak; Sadie Eller, Gray; Stella Detwiler, York, and Hazel, Saxton. A former coal miner, he was last employed with the Letterkenny Ordnance Depot. Mr. Coffman was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I.
