They had the following children: Samuel, born Feb 1863 - died 23 Sep 1865; Mary B., born Jan 1865 - died 23 Sep 1865; Nora Elizabeth, born 15 Apr 1869 (married James L. Carter); Malinda, born 6 Dec 1872 - died 7 Aug 1908 (married Robert H. Fox).

John died of pneumonia at 69 years of age. His wife Susan was the informant.
