W.E. QUEENER DIES MONDAY, WAS BROTHER OF CAMPBELL COUNTY AND LAFOLLETTE CITIZENS, FUNERAL TUESDAY
Funeral services for W.E. Queener who died Monday were held Tuesday at Montezuma, Ga. Mr. Queener who was 45 years old was formerly of Jacksboro (Tennessee). He had been ill for some months. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Queener, and a brother of the late R.L. Queener. He had been engaged in school work for the past 27 years. He held a Bachelors' Degree from Lincoln Memorial University (Harrogate, Tenn) and a Masters Degree from the University of Georgia. He began his teaching career at Jacksboro.
He was married to Cecil Hicks Queener. They had one son Sam Hicks Queener. He had five sisters: Mrs. J.P. Lindsay of LaFollette, Mrs. Walter Kasefang of Jacksboro, Mrs. Harold Youngblood of Johnson City, Mrs. Mack Campbell of Stephens, Ga., and Mrs. Ralph Delap of Claranda, Iowa; four brothers, John Queener of Jacksboro, Silas Queener, Laverne Queener and Dr. E. H. Queener of Knoxville.
