William "Coley" Hicks was born 12/30/1904 & passed on a leap year which actual date was 2/29/1952.
His parents were William "Colon" Hicks & Rena Belle Westbrook Hicks.
He had two sisters Cecil Hicks Queener & Rena "Lorette" Hicks. They were raised in The Engram House (on the GA Register) which his father had built for his mother for them to raise their family.
He was married to Christine Lavinia Lewis Hicks on 8/19/1923.
He was a family & business man & spent his life working & living in Montezuma. He had a farm but lived in the town. He also had a Buick dealership, Hicks Auto Co, that sold & fixed cars.
He & Christine had 3 children Louise (McCrary), Elaine (Dixon) & William "Bill" Hicks, Jr.
He passed peacefully in his sleep at his home in Montezuma.
