SYLVESTER - Frankie June Haman Jolly, 73, of Sylvester, died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at her residence.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Damascus Cemetery in Worth County. The Rev. Ronnie Howell and Rev. Roger Mays officiating.
Born in Worth County, GA, Mrs. Jolly was the daughter of the late Arthur Haman and Verna Stembridge Haman. She was the widow of Grady G. "Bobby" Jolly, who died May 6, 1987.
Mrs. Jolly was retired from the Worth County Board of Education after many years as the Secretary of Holley Middle School. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, attending sings, outdoor activities and being with her family. She lived in Worth County all of her life. She was a member of Damascus United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was presently the church secretary. She was also a member of the Damascus Women's Club.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, June J. Lewis and Jimmy of Cumming, GA, and Bonnie J. Moore of Hilton Head, SC; a sister, Barbara Ann Morris of TyTy, GA; six brothers, Jimmie Haman of Biloxi, MS, John Haman of Sumner, GA, Charles Haman, Franklin Haman, Wilbur Haman and Warren Haman, all of TyTy, GA; sister-in-law, Ilene W. Haman of TyTy, GA; grandchildren, Jason Lewis (Blair), Blake Lewis, Macy, Bentley, and Garrett Moore; special friend, Hilton Houston of Sylvester.
Preceded Mrs. Jolly in death are two brothers, Wayne and Vergil Haman.
