This is an interesting puzzle. It appears that there is a stone for Eleanor in the Reformed Church Cemetery, I've not seen it with my own eyes but I will stop and check it out. S. Gregory posted a photo of this stone earlier this year. I have not found a stone for Eleanor in the Rhinebeck Cemetery. A listing of gravestones created in 1924 indicates that Eleanor's gravestone was in the Rhinebeck Cemetery. A listing done in 2001 does not record the stone in Rhinebeck Cemetery BUT it does list the one in Rhinebeck Reformed Church Cemetery
In the 1840's the Village of Rhinebeck prohibited any additional burials in the Village of Rhinebeck. AS A RESULT, ELEANOR COULD NOT HAVE BERN BURIED IN THE REFORMED CHURCH CEMETERY. But, it appears that the stone was moved from Rhinebeck Cemetery to Reformed Church Cemetery at some time. Perhaps so that it could be next to her husband's stone.
