ASTON - Charles Franklin Aston, son of John R. and Liddie Scaggs Aston, was born September 12, 1882, in Corsicana, Tex., and departed this life on May 15, 1969, at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital, Chariton.

When he was about three years old, the family went by covered wagon to the Oklahoma Territory, where he grew to manhood.

In 1904 he was married to Miss Nettie Mackey, and to this union were born two sons, Vernon, who passed away in 1966, and Everett, who resides in Baytown, Tex.

In 1948 he was married to Mrs. Mary Campbell, who preceded him in death in December, 1967.

Survivors are the one son, Everett, and wife Doris, one granddaughter, Beverly, and her husband, Louis Henley of Lafayette, La., and their six children. There are also two surviving brothers, John Aston, of Farmersville, Calif., and Luther Aston, of Phoenix, Ariz.

Funeral services were conducted by Elder Nelson Badder at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 1969 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
