Orion Allison Dies in Indianapolis

Orion Allison, a former resident of Nashivllle, died at his home in Indianapolis last Thursday at the age of eighty-two. He was a brother of the late Alonzo Allison, for many years publisher of this paper. He was born in Franklin, Ind., was the last of five sons of Capt. George W. Allison and Rachel E. Allison, and came to Nashville with his parents in 1870.

"Roll", as he was familiarly known here, was married to Mary Harmon of Nashville. His wife died several years ago. He was a railroader for many years, the most of which time he was employed in the railroad yards at Indianapolis. Because of advanced age he retired a few years ago and received a railroader's pension.

Surviving are a son, Noah, a daughter, Madie, and two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Gaston and Mrs. Rachel Watts, all of Indianapolis. Funeral services were held in Indianapolis Monday.
