Noma Viola Brown, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brown, living on Catching creek, departed her young life at the Mast & Wilson hospital Friday morning, following an operation for appendicitis. The appendix had burst before the girl reached the hospital. Peritonitis set in later, complicated by other difficulties.


Noma was born in Powers, March 4, 1918, making her eight years and eight months of age. She leaves a father and mother and one brother and five sisters. Funeral was at Catching Creek cemetery monday at 2 o'clock. Rev. Omar Idso, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating.


The Brown family have made their home in this community for a number of years. They have the greatest of sympathy of the community in this sad affair.
