Letitia McCombs was born Jan 1828 in Derry, Ireland and died at her home near Breckenridge, Missouri Dec17,1909 age 81yrs11months and 16days. When seven yrs of age she, with her parents came to this country. At the age of fifteen she united with the Christian Church at Cincinnati, Ohio. Four years later she was united in marriage with John Huston of Cincinnati, Jan 28, 1846. She then moved her membership from the Christian Church and placed it with that of her husbands in the Methodist Episcopal Church, She lived as a devoted Christian in that church the remainder of her life. Letitia was the mother of ten children, one died in infancy, another passed away at the age of fourteen. Five sons an three daughters survive her, In 1867 with her husband and family she came by wagon train to Missouri from Indiana and has been a resident of this vicinity from that time until her death. Eight years after coming to this state, she was left a widow and remained so the rest of her life.
Letitia had been an invalid for several years and suffered much pain, but bore it all with patience until death relieved all pain on last Friday. --- the internment was in the Trosper Cemetery.
