Mary Celia Stanislawski Osko Bylica Stanz

She was born September 3, 1895 in Lorain, Lorain County, Ohio to parents Jacob Stanislawski and Johanna Sztupay. She was the second youngest of eight children: Stanley, Francese, Anna, Adam, Cassimer, George (Wogciech), Mary, Teresa. Mary grew up in Black River Twps 4th and 3rd wards, respectively. She lost her father before her eight birthday, in 1903 and her mother ten years later.

She was first married on July 14, 1914 to "John" Mathew Osko. She had a total of 4 children: John G., Edward, Albert, and Elizabeth [or Betty]. She had a miscarriage, between the births of Albert and Elizabeth, on January 15, 1920 only after 2 months of pregnancy.

She unfortunately became a widow when John died in 1927. The family lived at 221 East 26th Street, Lorain, Ohio at the time.

She was married for the second time to Joseph Bylica on June 9, 1928 at the Church of the Nativity located in Lorain, Ohio. In 1936, Mary and Joseph resided at 315 West 25th Street, Lorain, Ohio. Joseph died on March 20, 1959.

She then married Wallace William Stanz on June 15, 1965. She had been married for a total of 61 years. Due to health reasons she was placed in a rest home in Avon, Ohio, during the early 1980's. However, prior to this she resided at 4331 Belle Ave, Sheffield Lake, Lorain County, Ohio.

Mary passed away July 28, 1983 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon, Lorain County, Ohio. Services were held at Reidy-Scanlan Funeral Home in Lorain, Ohio.
