1860, 17 Aug: William Spelmier (30) b. Prussia & w. Sarah BRADLEY (29) b. England & their 6 mo. old son, John E. b. here. Sarah brot to the family her 2 sons by her previous marriage: William H. Haywood (6) b. PA & Albert Haywood (4) b. IL. Also, in their household were his par.s: George Spelmier (60) b. Prussia & his w. Caroline Kuster BECKER (58) b. Prussia & George Spelmier (14) b. Prussia.
Wilhelm remained in Livingston County all of his life, and he died, at the young age of 35, in/nr Pontiac. They had at least 3 children: John Edward Spellmeyer, Laura Hannah SPELLMEYER & Caroline Irene "Carrie" SPELLMEYER.
