Deaths and Funerals
Navasoto Funeral services for Mrs Teetsa Bournias Paras, who died Wednesday in Phoenix, Ariz., will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in Navasota.
She was the sister of Mrs. Philip Arhos of 512 Avondale.
A family spokesman said last rites will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Navasota.
Funeral Services Held Here for Mrs. Paras
Funeral services for Mrs. Teetsa Bournias Paras, 42, of Kingman, Ariz. were held at 3 p.m. Monday from St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ralph C. Miller, assitant rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Houston, officiating. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of the Lindley-Robertson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Paras, a well known former resident of Navasota, attended public schools here and was a graduate of Navasota High School. It was during this time that her father, the late Bill Bournias, owned and operated The Confectionary, in the Masonic Building where the Chamber of Commerce office is now located.
Mrs. Paras died Wednesday, July 29, in St. Joseph Hospital at Phoenix, Ariz.
She was born in Illinois on May 25, 1922, the daughter of Virginia Pontikis and William Bournias.
Mrs. Paras was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Kingman.
Surviving are her husband, Tally Paras of Kingman, Ariz.; mother Mrs. Bill Bournias of Bryan; one daughter, Miss Niki Paras of Kingman; two sons, Jim Paras and Bill Paras, both of Kingman, Ariz.; and one sister, Mrs Helen Arhos of Bryan.
Pallbearers were Peter N. Bournias of San Antonio, Sam B. Bournias of Teague, Peter G. Bournias of Houston, Stanley N. Bournias of Victoria, Gus P. Bournias of Houston and Nick G. Bournias of Luling.
