EAST LIVERPOOL – RICHARD "RICK" A. SANCHEZ, 42, of Alpha Street, died at
3:43 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
Born in East Liverpool Aug. 18, 1967, a son of Andy and Sandra Sanchez of East Liverpool, he was a lifetime area resident.
A member of Laborers Local 809 out of Steubenville, he was a Nazarene by faith.
Known as the "Mexican Nightmare", Rick was a talented musician who played bass in many local bands, predominantly with Kryton.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Allison "Allie" Sanchez, of East Liverpool.
Also surviving are three brothers, Shawn Sanchez and his wife, Jennifer, of East Liverpool, Anthony Sanchez of East Liverpool and Anthony Caldwell of Columbus.
He is also survived by a very special nephew, Andy Sanchez; an uncle and aunt, Leroy and Gloria Crouse.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Thelma Crouse and Servando and Margarita Sanchez.
The Rev. Merrill Williams of the First Church of the Nazarene is to conduct services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial is to be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center following the services.
