June 11, 1998-May 30, 2010

The Lord took our Scotty home on May 30, 2010. He passed away while living life as he loved. Scotty was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to everyone whose life he touched. He never met a stranger and would lend a helping hand to anyone who asked. Scotty had an amazing ability to observe the world and discover the overlooked. From dusk until dawn, he lived every day of his eleven years to its fullest. Everyday he made a new friend and wanted the best for everyone. Scotty enjoyed many things, including fishing, skateboarding, lacrosse, basketball, football, motorcycling, and just being outside; but most of all he enjoyed his friends and family, especially his dad, who was his best buddy. Always the kind soul, he has donated his organs to give others in need a chance to do the things they love. Scotty is both survived and terribly missed by his mom and dad, Courtney and Scott, his brothers and sisters, Rachel, Charlie, Kellen, Alison, and Alex, his maternal grandmother Lynn, his aunts and uncles, Kristin, Louise, Charlie, and Chris, and numerous cousins. He was taken from us all too soon, but we know that it will be a glorious day when we are able to see his joyful smile again in Heaven. Services celebrating Scotty's life will be held on Thursday, June 3rd at 1:00 pm at Woodridge Baptist Church of Kingwood, 5707 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood, TX, 77345. Graveside services will be private. For those desiring to honor Scotty, the family asks that donations be made in Scotty's name to the following:Christian School of Kingwood Scholarship Fund in the Name of Scotty Adley; 2901 Woodlands Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339, Attn: Linda Copeland Humble Skatepark Somebody Cares: We miss you Scotty!

Boy hit by wake boarder

Earlier that day, three boys riding in an inner tube towed by a boat on the San Jacinto River were struck by a wake boarder being pulled the opposite direction by another boat, authorities said. Everett Scott Adley, 11, one of the youths knocked from the inner tube, died at Memorial Hermann Hospital from a broken neck. According to investigators, the wake boarder was traveling outside his boat's wake as he passed the other boat, glanced off it and then crashed into the inner tube.

A life cut short way to soon. Rest in peace Scotty
