KOWALSKI , M. June Morlan Loebrich
On February 6, 2010, June passed on to be with God and family in heaven.
June was born on June 8, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio.
In 1944 she married her first husband George Morlan and had twin boys, Paul and Phillip born on February 14, 1946. In 1964 she and her husband were involved in a horrible accident in which George died. In 1970, June and her two sons moved from Toledo, Ohio to California to begin a new life. She started her working career as a keypunch operator with Owens Corning Fiberglass in Toledo. After moving to California she worked for Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital as a Key Punch Operator, then for Santa Barbara City Hall, followed by Infrared Industries in Carpinteria where she met her second husband Ed Kowalski.
June was a strong person and had survived cancer two times.
She is survived by her son Phillip of Carpinteria. June was preceded in death by her six sisters and two brothers, one of her twin boys, Paul of cancer, as well as her second husband Edward.
June was always the life of the party and made many good friends that lasted a lifetime. She was involved and a member of the First Baptist Church in Carpinteria.
A celebration of life will take place Saturday, February 20, 10 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Carpinteria.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Santa Barbara, 2050 Alameda Padre Serra, Santa Barbara, CA 93103.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
