MRS. EDNA SWISHER
Funeral services were held for Edna Swisher at the Wagner-Iverson Funeral Home on April 28. Mrs. Swisher died at the Southeastern Dakota Nursing Home April 24 after a long illness. She was a retired homemaker and had lived at the Home since 1967.
Rev. Kenneth Moreland officiated. Burial was in Bluff View Cemetery. Casket bearers were Vince Montgomery, Howard Connors, John Montgomery, Bud Christenson, Thomas Rabush and Vern Holter. Organist was Janice Lee. Vocalist was Marlys Miller. Selections included "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and "No Night There."
Mrs. Swisher was born Edna Chaussee in Vermillion on Oct. 22, 1884. She married Ralph Swisher here on Nov. 5, 1905. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Swisher was preceded in death by her husband in July of 1944. Survivors include two sons, Clark of Aberdeen; and Jay of Groton and 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
