Grohmann Rites Held On April 11
Funeral services for Mrs. Albert (Emma) Grohmann, 96, of Weimar were held Monday, April 11, from St. Michael's Catholic Church, with burial in the parish cemetery.

Rev. Royce Hughes officiated.

Mrs. Grohmann, a life-long resident of the Weimar area and in recent years a resident of Parkview Manor, died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in Youens Memorial Hospital.

She was born here Oct. 22, 1887, a daughter of Joe and Theresia (Kasper) Berger and was married to Albert Grohmann on Oct. 22, 1906. He died Aug. 30, 1974.

She was a 66-year member of St. Ann Society and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Surviving her are two daughters Mrs. Elizabeth Vornsand and Mrs. Adela Veselka, both of Weimar; one son, Wilbur Grohmann Sr., of Weimar; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Three sisters, Mrs. Ida Hartensteiner, Mrs. Millie Polk, and Mrs. Theresia Stavinoha, and one brother, Joe Berger, preceded her in death.

Pallbearers in her funeral were Wilbur Grohmann Jr., Donald Grohmann, Clifford Grohmann, Glenn Grohmann, Irdie Vornsand, George Transom, David Boethel and Kenneth Fojt.
