JOHN WESLEY LIPE
John Wesley Lipe, died at the Yocom hospital in Chariton on Sunday morning, March 28, at 8:30 o'clock, at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 11 days, after an illness of but a few days.
John Wesley Lipe, son of John and Mahala Lipe, was born in Ottercreek township, Lucas county, Iowa, on January 17, 1869, and his entire life was spent in that vicinity, and where he had many friends who held him in high esteem.
Suriving him are two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Pfrimmer, of Chariton; Mrs. Sadie Eaton, of near Norwood; one half sister, Mrs. Alvie Baker, of Des Moines; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Paul H. Hicks, of the Chariton Methodist church, were held at the Dunshee funeral home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, and burial was in the Fletcher cemetery.
