The last child to be born to George and Martha Radford was John Darwin born on June 27, 1930. He drowned in the Harrison Canal which ran behind their home through their property.

Darwin passed away 11 days before his 20th birthday on June 16, 1950. It is suspected that Darwin fell into the canal as a result of having a seizure. Perhaps he was walking across the bridge that gave the Radford's access to the North and South sections of their land.
