James A Crisman, 85, of Brookville, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, in Brookville Hospital.

Born July 26, 1924, in Reynoldsville, he was the son of Luke and Margaret (Leech) Crisman.

He married Esther M. Traister in Lawsonham on July 26, 1952. She survives.

Mr. Crisman served in the U. S. Army Air Corps 8th Air Force European Theater during World War II.

He was a graduate of California University and a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association. He was a shop teacher for the Brockway Area School District.

He enjoyed hunting and woodworking and traveling with his wife.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three brothers, Darwin Crisman of Lawsonham, Warren Crisman and his wife, Allene, of Lawsonham and a twin brother, Joseph Crisman, and his wife Elva, of Lawsonham, and a sister, Mildred Bole and her husband, Ronald, of Rimersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were held May 27 at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville with the Rev. Jason "Jay" Schweinberg officiating.
