Obituary
The community received a great shock when it learned of the sudden death from heart failure of Murray Whitford, the only son of Mrs. Dora Whitford and a young man loved and respected by all who knew him. He was employed at the Marshall Nurseries and had been at his usual duties the morning of April first, but passed away shortly after noon.

He is survived by his wife and 5-year-old son, his mother, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Misko, of Chicago, and a number of other relatives and friends. Murray has lived all his life in this community and the large number present at the funeral which was held Saturday afternoon, April 3rd, from the Congregational church and the beautiful floral offerings, testify to the love borne him by the people of Arlington. He was a member of Leslie W. Downs Post American Legion and was thirty-one years of age at the time of his passing. He was buried beside his father in the family lot in Arlington cemetery.
