BP WOMAN BURIED MONDAY
Rites were held Monday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel for Lou Bell Armstrong, 89, of Bridgeport. Leon Fredrick and the Rev. Dan Castleman officiated with burial in Dilbeck Cemetery in Peaster. Mrs. Armstrong died Saturday at Bridgeport Hospital.
Pallbearers were Smoky Bounds, Bus Albritton, Albert Bridges, E.P. Barnett, Clinton Leachman and Bill Read.
Mrs. Armstrong, born Aug. 27, 1886 in East Tennessee, was the widow of James Walter Armstrong, whom she married Dec. 10, 1901 in Parker County. She was a member of Cates Street Church of Christ in Bridgeport.
Survivors include a daughter, Ida Jones of Bridgeport; sister, Mrs. Willie Long of Jackson, Tenn.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
