At the time of his death he was age 21 years, 11 months, 1 day. Cause of Death: amputation, traumatic, of head at level of 7th cervical vertebrae; aircraft accident, February 7, 1950, 1:43 P.M.; mid-air collision of two T-6 aircraft, five miles east of Olberg (rural), Maricopa County, Arizona (desert area). Removal of remains February 10, 1950 to Blair, Nebraska.
