Jesse E. Davis of Nyssa, Oregon was called home on May 25, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, today, May 28, 2010 at the Cloverdale Funeral Home Reception Center.
Jesse was born on June 9, 1929 to Jack and Flora Davis in Golden, Missouri. His family moved to Idaho in 1936. On January 14, 1947 he married Betty Davidson and had two sons and two daughters. They later divorced. He married Francis Cassity on June 16, 1989 and she had three sons of her own. They built a home in Parma, Idaho where they lived for 15 years until Frances' death in 2009. He then moved to Nyssa.
Jesse loved working with cattle. He also did some farming, worked on the Round Butte Dam in Madras, Oregon and was also a Teamster with Mt. States Wholesale. He and Frances spent as much time fishing as possible and he would smoke the fish and give it away.
Jesse is survived by his two sons, Bob (Judy) of Beaverton, Oregon and Kenny (Carol) of Buhl, Idaho; his two daughters, Rhonda (Glenn) of Nampa, Idaho; and Chris (Larry) of Kuna, Idaho; his sisters, Imogene and Cholene; 9 grandchildren;10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and three stepsons, Jack, Chris and Phillip Cassity and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances; brothers, Raymond and Voyle; and sisters, Edith and Lavon.
