Laura E. Cockerell, 52, Georgetown, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born June 17, 1957, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lee and Marnie Rue Everman Arnett.
She was a registered nurse employed at University Hospital in Louisville and was a member of New Salisbury Full Gospel Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Tommy Lee Cockerell.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Cockerell; a daughter, Jennifer Cockerell of Georgetown; a son, Daniel Cockerell of Georgetown; a stepson, Timmy Cockerell of Louisville; four brothers, Larry Arnett of Pendleton, Ky., Gary Arnett of Shepherdsville, Ky., Barry (Sam) Arnett of Louisville and John Arnett of Hanford, Calif.; and a sister, Ruie Arnett of San Clemente, Calif.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 25, from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 27, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Thursday, May 27, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Edwardsville Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Rollie Collins.
