Mayme Kraemer
Mayme A. Kraemer, 87, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.
Mayme was born to Peter and Ruth (Sanders) Guddal in Kelliher, Minn., on Nov. 3, 1921. She married Lloyd Kraemer on Feb. 8, 1946, in Brainerd. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from the food service department in School District 181 in Brainerd. Mayme enjoyed cooking, card playing, bowling and traveling. She also enjoyed volunteering at many area organizations that she was a member of including Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd, Sons of Norway, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary.
Most important to Mayme throughout her life was her faith and her service to God, her church and her family.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Jan), Duluth, Bruce (Diane), Brainerd; her daughter, Lana (Terry) Lamb, St. Paul; four grandchildren, Neil (Kari) Kraemer, Lisa (Tommy) Woog, Christina (Stephen) Ross and Kendra Lamb; and her great-grandchildren, Keegan, Brianna and Aydan Kraemer, Abby Woog and William Ross. Also survived by her sisters, Mary Kudlo, Seattle, and Agnes Kudlo, Federal Way, Wash.; and two brothers, Sam (Shirley) Guddal, Monroe, Wash., and Paul Guddal, Fergus Falls, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd G.; one sister; and two brothers.
Services for Mayme will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Dave Holte officiating. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 12, at 4-7 p.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
Arrangements are with the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
