Ward I. Travis, 78, of 4303 E. English, died Wednesday.
Born in Maidsville, W.Va., he moved here 52 years ago from Benton, Kan. He was a builder and contractor most of his life. He retired 12 years ago.
Survivors include his widow, Ethel; a daughter, Mrs. C. D. Griffin, Wichita; and a son, Duane, Wichita.
Cochran Mortuary has charge.
