Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Brooks Chapel with David Dye officiating. Private burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon and Happy.
Martha Louise Sharp Boyce was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Lark to Claud and Maud Sharp. Martha married Cotton Boyce on Oct. 19, 1946, in Canyon.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Martha was active in the Boy and Girl Scouts, all sports from first to 12th grades, as well as being the PTA president while her kids were in school. She was the best mother, a great cook and an excellent seamstress.
She was also very loving and dedicated to all her family, and we would like to thank the many who loved and cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Bonnie Weatherly, Beryl Darby and Ruth Rogers.
Survivors include her husband, Cotton; a son, Steve Boyce and wife Tracy of Cimarron, N.M.; two daughters, Beverly Boyce Grimes of Sulphur Springs and Tammy Curry and husband Anthony of Keller; two sisters, Gaynell Grissom of Keller and Claudette Love of Canyon; six grandchildren, Jeff Boyce, Jason Boyce, Amy Pruitt, Aaron Miller, Micah Miller, and Cali Beth Curry; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Odyssey Healthcare, 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brooks Chapel.
