Obituary reprinted from the Centre Democrat, 25 December,

Lawrence P. Brisbin, well known retired Pennsylvania Railroad carpenter, died at his home in Tyrone on Sunday afternoon, December 21, 1941, following an illness of 18 weeks from a heart condition. Mr. Brisbin was born September 26, 1866, at Unionville, Centre County, a son of Benjamin and Tobitha Peters Brisbin. He was three times married, first to Agnes Lindemuth, then to Mrs. Mary Sensor, both deceased, and the third time at Williamsport on January 17, 1924, to Miss Anna Thomas, who survives. Mr. Brisbin had been a resident of Tyrone for 43 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by these children to the first marriage: Guy Brisbin, Homer Brisbin and Mrs. H. A. Yarnell, Tyrone; to the second wife, Mrs. Margaret Calderwood and Samuel Brisbin, Tyrone; one step-son, William T. Sensor, Juniata; 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. John Glenn, State College.

Transcriber's note: The tombstone of Lawrence P. Brisbin, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Centre Co., cites his birth year as 1868, yet his obituary states he was born in 1866. There is also confusion regarding Lawrence's birthplace, as the PA Delayed Birth Certificate of his daughter, Clarissa Agnes, cites his birthplace as Des Moines, IA, while his obituary cites it as Unionville.
