Claude Buckner Born April 22, 1931, in Keokuk, he was the son of Claude and Addie Webster Buckner. He married Barbara M. Weldon.
Mr. Buckner worked for Cronin Coal Co., St. Louis Diecast, Sheller Globe and State Central Bank for the past 11 years.
He was a lifelong resident of Keokuk. He was a Korean War Army veteran. He was a member of God's Way Christian Center in Keokuk.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Ramon Buckner, Jeff Buckner and Troy Buckner, all of Austin, Texas, Juan Buckner of Keokuk, Jerome Buckner of Seattle and Drew Buckner of San Diego, one daughter, Dawn Burton of Dallas; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Floyd Buckner and George Buckner, both of Keokuk, and Milton Buckner of Chicago; two sisters, Mabel Clay of Fort Dodge and Gerarda Robinson of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
There will be no visitation.
The graveside service for Mr. Buckner with full military rites by American Legion Post No. 41 and VFW Post No. 3508 will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Keokuk National Cemetery, with Pastor Silvia Tilman officiating.
