"Tunnard Storey was born at Downington, Lincolnshire, England, Feb. 28, 1838, and died June 16, 1915, being 77 years, 3 months and 18 days old.
"He was the eldest of a family of 9 children, 3 of whom survive.
"Joseph Storey, of Montrose, Mo. Thomas Storey, of Bloomington, Ill, and Mrs. Ira Tobey, Oneida, Kan.
"He came to Philadelphia April 1857, and to Bloomfield, Ill., 1864.
"He married Jane Kennedy, Sept. 1864. Two children were born to this marriage, one of them, Thomas Storey, of Ogden, Utah, is now living.
"Following the death of his wife he married Harriet Caldwell Nov 25, 1874. To them 8 children were born, of whom Mrs. G.A. Stevens is the only survivor.
"He came to Furnas County on March 20, 1880, where he has remained almost continually ever since. He was a member of Edison lodge I.O.O.F. and a member of the Christian church during the past 18 years, being immersed by Rev. J.B. Miller.
"For several years past he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Geo. Stevens, where he died last Wednesday night.
"Elder Evans, of Arapahoe, conducted the funeral services at the Christian church last Friday afternoon, the remains being in charge of the Odd Fellows. Internment was in Edison cemetery.
"Deceased was a man of many noble qualities, highly esteemed by all who knew him, and the relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.

The spelling Downington was in error. The correct spelling is Donington.

Mrs. Ira Tobey of Oneida, KS was Tunnard's sister, Mary Ann Storey, b: 6 Sep 1851 Donington, Lincolnshire, England, d: 3 Jun 1925 at Hastings, Adams, NE, The correct spelling was Tobie.

Mrs. Geo. Stevens was Tunnard's daughter, Carrie B. Storey, b:11 Jul 1883 Furnas County, NE, d: Sep 1977, Baltimore, MD.

Tunnard's brother, Joseph, is buried in Missouri.
