LAWSON BALDWIN PASSED BEYOND
Lawson S. Baldwin passed away at the home of his mother, Mrs. Harriet A. Baldwin, on Monday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. He was taken ill on Thursday noon shortly after eating with the family. Lying down to rest, he was found a little later breathing unnaturally, and never regained consciousness to the end. Mr. Baldwin's heath had not been very good for several years past.
Lawson Baldwin was a son of the late Alfred H. and Harriet A. Baldwin, and was born in Wayne County, Michigan on February 28th, 1886. For the past ten years he has been making his home with his mother in Carson City in which community he spent the major portion of his life except for a residence in Detroit for a period of about four years.
Twenty-six years ago he was married to Edna Jeffords at Carson City. To this union were born two children, both of whom survive, a son James of Owosso, Michigan, and Lucile of Carson City.
Beside the surviving wife and mother and children there are also left one living sister, Mrs. Elsie Gow of Duluth, Minn., and two brothers, Nelson Baldwin of Newberry, Mich., and Orson Baldwin of California. One sister Dora, and one brother, Vernon preceded their brother in death. Among the survivors there also several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the home of his mother on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00p.m. Rev. W. S. Shelly of the Congregational church officiated. Burial was made in the Bloomer Center Cemetery southwest of Carson. The pallbearers were Glenn Sparks, Carl Farwell, Roy Warner and Scot Cupp.
