I met Tony on the Wildwood boardwalk in 1963, and we became friends. He was a passionate but innocent guy. He enlisted immediately after graduating from high school. I cannot forget the shock of seeing his photo in the 'Philadelphia Daily News' and news that he was killed by fragments from enemy mortal shell. His Mom said, 'He died a Marine and he was proud of the uniform he wore.' He was survived by his parents, Grace and Alphonse, and siblings, Mary Grace and John. Teresa Deni,

He served as a Lance Corporal with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 26th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III MAF.
United States Marine Corps.

He was awarded The Bronze Star Medal with "V" Device for Valor, The Combat Action Ribbon(CAR), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal.
