Obit- Gonzales Inquirer January 1, 1901, Mrs. Lucy Boothe wife of the late W. S. Boothe and one of the oldest residents of Dewitt county, dies at her home this side of Hocheim at an early hour Monday morning death resulting from old age and the effects of an injury received in a fall a few days ago' Deceased was 92 years old and up to a few days before her death did much of her house work so vigorous was she in her declining days. Her husband Mr. W. S. Boothe who was one of the most Picturesque figures in the state and who by his frugality amassed a hugh fortune passed to the other world a couple years ago he too having reached a ripe old age --YOAKUM Dailey times
