He was the son of William Carr and Nancy Lee Carr of Labelle, TX. He married Manerva Moor on May 17, 1851 in Jefferson County, TX. They had 14 children living. No record of his death place except listings in the family bible. Their children living were: Lorenzo, Frank Cisco, Elizabeth Hannah Carr Bouse, William Carr, Cornelius, Marie Carr Heiman, James Cleveland, Lucinda Carr Hargraves,Adlean Manerva Carr Bellair, Joseph Robert, Emily Carr Carter, Alfred Lester, Alice Elvina Carr Huke, Viola Alice Carr Grammer. Caplen, TX was where the census records show he raised his children. He was the second born of twelve children:1st was Nancy Carr Lawhon, Mariah Carr Clubb, Melissa Carr Tevis, Rachel Carr Alexander, John Carr,Sarah Carr Clubb, Mary Elizabeth Carr Moor, Mary Ann Carr Owens, Matilda Carr Moor, Serena Carr Gallier,Alzena Carr Burrell. Levi's wife is buried in Fannett, TX at Landrum Cemetery.
