Bristol, N. Y. - Benjamin F. Hicks died at his home in Bristol on Wednesday, June 8, after about two years' illness. His whole life of over 77 years had been passed at the place where he passed away. Only one month ago his brother, F. Josephus Hicks, about two years his senior entered the better land. Mr. Hicks was one of the most highly respected and esteemed citizens of our town. His death will be a severe loss to the community. A widow and only daughter survive him. Rev. Mr. Orelup was the officiating clergyman at the funeral services, which were held on Friday from the Universalist church at 3 p.m. His grave in Evergreen Cemetery adds one more to the many interments that have been made there during the present year.
