Donna Jean Shulse, 84, of Hannibal, died on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at home, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Grace Covenant Church in Hannibal. The Rev. Chuck Todd will officiate. A private graveside service be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday July 21, 2008, at Grand View's Chapel.
Mrs. Shulse was born on Oct. 28, 1923, to Harley G. and Bernice E. McGowan Griffith. They preceded her in death. She married John Shulse in May 1942, in Southeast City, Mo. He preceded her in death. Her son, Larry Shulse, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Alan) Laird of New London, and five grandchildren:
Patrick O'Connor, Brett O'Connor, Donald O'Connor, Jeffrey Shulse and David Shulse, along with four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Shulse was an avid supporter of Missions, and veteran organizations. She was a member of the Grace Covenant Church in Hannibal, and was an organ donor. She worked for 11 years at Wal-Mart, and she was a proud member of the NRA.
