Details: Inscriptions from this cemetery were copied in 1908 and then published the next year in THE MAYFLOWER DESCENDANT in January 1909. Jacob Baker's stone was thus described: "Slate stone broken and lying on the ground". The inscription then read: "In Memory of Mr. JACOB BAKER who died Aug. ye 21, 1785 in 77th year. When the next complete inscription copy was undertaken in 1968, any evidence of the Jacob Baker tombstone was not found.
