Mr. Sharp was a building manager for the Kansas City School District for the last 10 years. He owned AAA Cab Co. in Independence from 1964 to 1976. He was a member of the Carlisle Baptist Church, Independence. Mr. Sharp was born in Snyder, Mo., and lived in Sugar Creek for 32 years.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Sharp, and a son, Kenneth Sharp, both of the home; three daughters, Sherry Moyer, Kayleen Paul and Lila Howard of Independence; seven brothers, Lee Sharp and W. J. Sharp of Brookfield, Mo., Forrest Sharp of Kansas City, Rex Sharp of Independence, Dean Sharp of Branden, Fla., Darrel Sharp of Mendon, Mo., and Keith Sharp of Richmond; three sisters, Olivia Storey of Kansas City, and Sue York and Christine Sharp of Brookfield; and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Heisel-Koch Chapel, Mendon; burial in Mendon City Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, April 20, 1987
