Funeral services for John Garman, who died Friday night at the home of his son, George Garman, in Silver Spring township, will be held Wednesday afternoon, meeting at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Christian Eshelman in Hogestown, at 2 o'clock, with services later in Trindle Springs Lutheran church (sic). Burial will be made in the graveyard adjoining the church. Mr. Garman, who was aged 74 years, was a retired farmer and was born in Cumberland County. His death followed a long illness. He is survived by three sons, George Garman, Silver Springs; Benjamin A. Garman, of South Dakota; Morris A. Garman, of Summerdale; five daughters, Mrs. Nancy Smith and Mrs. Frank Brenizer, of Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Christian Eshelman, of Hogestown; Mrs. Frank Bear, of Trindle Springs; and Mrs. John Hess, of New Kingston; thirty-five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a number of brothers and sisters.
