98, a lifetime resident of Harlingen passed away at her residence on Sunday May 16, 2010. She was born July 21, 1911 to Manuel Guerrero and Eluteria Gonzales in Brownsville, Texas.
She is survived by her Loving family; Maria Paz Leal, Bertha Villafranca, Yolanda Leal, Maria Elena Leal, Elida Leal, Maria J. (Roberto) Rubio, Rosa (Mike) Heredia all of Harlingen, Texas, daughter in law; Jacinta Leal, Brothers; Jose Luis Gonzales, Jose Gonzales, sisters; Maria Garcia, Aurora Deases, Dora Pompa, Eva Pompa. Nieces: Maria Luisa (Antonio) Lerma, Ernestina Alejandro, Nephew; Guadalupe (Oralia) Trevino, Grandnieces; Janie (Lorn) Lozano, Belinda (Frank) Guillen, also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Matias Leal, her parents, and all her sons; Lorenzo, Ramon, Adolfo, Matias Jr., Jose Leal and her grandson Adolfo Leal, Jr.
Visitation will be today, Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 10:00a.m. till time of funeral departure. We will depart Rudy Garza funeral home @2:30p.m. for a 3.00p.m. mass at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will then follow at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Helen Leal, Teresa Diaz, Diana Rodriguez, Claudio Rubio, Linda Rubio, Adrian Rubio. Honorary pallbearers will be Elisabeth Heredia and Monikah Heredia.
