Mrs. Lillian Annie Robinson Alexander, 86, died, Sunday, December 19, 2004 in Biloxi. She was a native of Bay St. Louis, MS. She was born February 22, 1918.
Mrs. Alexander was a member of Main Street Baptist Church of Biloxi, where she sang in the Gospel Chorus until her health failed. She was also one of the founders of A.O.H. Holiness Church in Biloxi. At an early age she was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis, MS.
She attended Valena C. Jones School in Bay St. Louis and later attended McDonald 35 in New Orleans, LA, where she graduated.
Mrs. Alexander retired from Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center after many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Ada Robinson; seven sisters, Helen Tucker, Ida Ruth Lewis, Beatrice Mack, Ida Hitchens, Rosalee Eichelberger, Annie Davis and Alice; three brothers, Arthur Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Jr., and David Williams; and her adopted daughter, Rita Floyd.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband of 62 years, Johnny Alexander, Sr. of Biloxi; five daughters, Voncile (Carrington) Belcher of Vine Grove, KY, Geralyn Wilson, Blondieva Gines, Ollivette (Michael) Samuels, all of Biloxi, and Deborah (Chris) Turner of Gulfport; an adopted daughter, Patricia (Leroy) Dexter of Gulfport; a step-daughter, Willie Dean James of Milwaukee, WI; a son, Johnny Alexander, Jr. of Biloxi; a step-son, Ernest (Joyce) Mosley of Ocean Springs; two children that she raised: Deborah Acheampong of Seattle, WA and Marilyn Milligan of D'Iberville.; five children she considered as her own: Jacqueline (Johnny) White of Ocean Springs, Evangelist Brenda (Bishop Vance) Woods and Ronald Ramsey, both of Gulfport, Micheal Dufort of Gulfport, and Helen Brown of Biloxi; a sister, Ruth Davis of Bay St. Louis; 35 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Monday 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Greater Grace Apostolic Assembly, 394 Forrest Ave., Biloxi.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Greater Grace Apostolic Assembly. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the House of Richmond in Biloxi.
