Thompson Lamb was a son of Joseph Q. Lamb and his first wife, Hester "Hetty" Davis, of Warren Co., OH.
Thompson Lamb, a highly respected citizen of this place, died last Friday morning at 9 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. W. Ausbury, north of town, from an attack of dropsy and heart failure, he having been in poor health for the past six months.
Deceased was born in Warren county, Ohio, Dec. 2, 1824. He came to this state in 1855, locating three miles east of Macomb. He and his wife, who died about a year ago, moved to the home of his daughter several years ago where he remained until his death. He was married to Eliza Burnell Feb. 13, 1849, and to this union was born four children, three of whom are living. They are: Mrs. A. W. Ausbury of this place, Joseph of Bloomfield, Neb., and Mrs. Hettie Forman of Gearing Neb. Three half-brothers, one in Kansas City, another in Dayton, O., and a third in Cincinnati, and a half-sister of Ohio also survive him.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. Burkett. Interment in the Industry cemetery.
