Daughter of the late J. Frank Stowe and Lola Ruby Long, she was preceded in death by brothers, J.C. Stowe and Archie Stowe, and sister, Mearl Gantt. She was survived by daughters, Elaine Carriker (Buren) and Patricia Monroe Tolley; sons, Dale Monroe (Janet) and Gene Monroe (Terry); brothers, Bill Stowe (Edith), Don Stowe (Elizabeth) and Jerry Stowe (Kattie); 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives and friends. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Her funeral was held May 18, 2010, with The Rev. David Clippard and The Rev. Steve McCranie officiating.
