My relative.


He married Mary Fern Palmquist on May 15, 1915 at Moline. They had one daughter Maryon Palmquist Tressel. He was killed when struck by the westbound El Capitian-Super Chief at the Phillips St crossing of the Santa Fe Railroad in Galesburg. The car was wrapped around the front of the diesel unit and the train traveled about nine blocks before stopping at the rear of the American Legion Home at 571 E. North St. The moter and front portion of the auto were found aproximately 150 yards west of the point of impact.He was employed as a clerk at Brown Specialty Co. He was a member of the East Main St. Congregational Church in which he served in several offices. He was a church trustee at the time of his death. He had five brothers Roy, George, Paul, Ernest, and Evar. One sister Myrtle Kennedy.
